Ms. Jones just got a belated obit in the NY Times, described as a computer scientist who did pioneering work on statistical analysis of natural language, but I am not familiar with the person or her work. Since we statisticians (Nina, P*D) and linguist (Shiro?) in the House, figure I’d ask what you think of Ms. Jones and her work.
