I don't think the marbles have an official name, just bonbons Smiler.

SM Sr has volunteered me to make bonbon gift bags for his bosses/higher ups in his precinct (hopefully only his precinct) for Christmas Roll Eyes gee thanks for asking me first! I'm going to make chocolates with orange, raspberry, hazelnut, and champagne flavors plus a plain chocolate with a chocolate liquor in the ganache to make it a little more intensely chocolate. Trying to think what colors I should swirl on top of the hazelnut, champagne, and chocolate. Maybe a gold for the champagne....no idea how to differentiate between the chocolate and hazelnut!

I think I need to be a boss in SM Sr's precinct! Wink

Could you do a light coating of crushed hazelnuts on the hazelnut ones? Or how about a milk/dark chocolate combo so the colour would be different?

Big Grin I'd mail them but temperature seems like it'd be a problem (unless it was like January and pretty much guaranteed a cool temperature all the way there) unless you do the expensive dry ice packaging which is just too much effort Big Grin

I've thought about coating them..but my molds aren't circular, they're just domes (you could technically fuse them together and then coat the sphere and then roll them into nuts etc...but I'm not that skilled nor do I want to spend THAT much time. I'm hoping to practice a little before them and then bang them out in one long chocolate covered day) and the rest are swirled but I might try that. I'm planning on using dark chocolate (easier and cheaper Big Grin to make the filling with milk chocolate you to have to use a lot more chocolate) for all of them but I could use the milk for the swirl. Maybe a caramel color for the hazelnut...hmmm.

What if you just dipped the bottom flat part of the dome in hazelnuts, so it was sitting on a little hazelnut base?
