There is altogether too much talk of pressing breasts at this point.

Just sayin'....

Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

Mrs. Beacon nursed all three of our kids. Great experience for both of us - I slept through the night and she just rolled over and nursed. Nothing to take along when out on a trip - of course the kids were never really sick the first year.

It was really funny though - she was very discreet for the first one, but by the third she was whipping her stuff out all the time everywhere.(always courteous of course) The places we had the most trouble was on airplane flights. Mrs. Beacon always kept the goods covered with a blanket but we did run into several flight attendants who wanted her to go into the bathroom to nurse - right... we even had her in a window seat with me beside to keep it inconspicuous. I guess that flight attendant would rather hear a six month old screaming for the entire flight.

That's what I told her... Big Grin

Me too, BC. Three of em, breast fed all the way. I loved it and think they did too. And the convenience just can't be beat.

My response to that was always, "Sure! If you'll sit in the stall next to me to eat your lunch!"

We contemplated going with cloth diapers for Altoid, but weighed the balance, living here in the desert, of using copious amounts of water washing cloth diapers, or filling the landfill with disposables.

We concluded the latter was the lesser crime.

OT,

We had a well intentioned hippie friend who had a cloth diaper service and we tried it out. Found out that our boys can really pee! 15 minutes and the pee was right through them.

These were really nice diapers, too! We double folded and yada, yada, yada. Went back to disposable. Mrs. Beacon just didn't want to change wet clothing every 15 minutes. We were disappointed - would have been cheaper.

By the way, OT, how cool are we? A couple of cool singer dads having a virtual discussion about diapers. We are awesome, hip, modern dads! Big Grin
