Whoa. That's one strange and beautiful creature.

I have always thought that octopuses were some of the most beautiful and amazing creatures. Many eons ago I taught a couple of economics classes at Duke's marine lab out at Beaufort NC. I used to like going into the lab areas to see what they had collected that day and to play with stuff, including octopuses. They're really neat.

Just before COVID corralled us all I was diving down in Bonaire. I was investigating a coral head and surprised an octopus. Well, he showed me! I was as shocked as he was when he inked me and disappeared.

Got my attention.
