#2 of four uncles. The third one to pass. The picture of health until he wasn’t. 6 months of decline, had a fine long dinner with family and passed in his sleep last night. 85- ish

What a guy.

Dean or chair or some damned thing regarding marine biology at Washington State. Ran the labs at Friday Harbor in Puget Sound. Let me and my friend stay in the dorms there in 1975. I have a hundred stories about this guy, all good.

I saw him and the family in Seattle a year ago when his wife died. What a wonderful woman, mom, friend and teacher! So glad I did.

But Covid. Can’t have a memorial service, just gravesite. Everyone one scared, which is cool. They should be.

Ill go. I’ll collect stories and I’ll speak. I’ll cry like an idiot and it’s OK.
