Mr pique got authorization to permanently work remotely from another county, so we jumped on this listing. It's been my dream to live in this location for years. Houses in this location almost never come on the market and then they are usually far beyond our reach in price. This house isn't great but that's not the attraction. Our agent is putting our best foot forward but warns us the competition is going to be stiff:

Fingers crossed we get to go home

Wish us luck!!

Turnkey meaning furnished as is, I presume.

Room for horse?

Is that bridge over the creek part of the property?

yes it is zoned for horses. already has a bear-proof electric fence (there are grizzlies in the area). we will put a track around the rear garden and orchard, and put up a run-in shed. we plan to board them in the winter at a friend's place with an indoor arena, so we only need to store enough hay for 6 mos.

no, i don't believe it is being sold furnished. they mean that it has been updated and renovated and doesn't need any work done. hard to find that around here!

see my reply to jodi on the horse question. lots of people in the neighborhood have horses and i am looking forward to having folks to ride with. planning to ride up along the creek and into the wilderness every day! in winter there is groomed xc skiing out the door.

about a half a block south of here is the horseback riding trailhead--only horse trailers are allowed to park there. Then a trail drops down into the recreation area to that bridge, which is inside the recreation area. i prefer to always start my hikes and rides from this location (rode here for years), because the main parking lot is about a mile further south and that section of trail is always crowded. from that bridge north, you see a lot fewer people.

Wonderful, pique!
If it weren't for the (easily remedied) blue fireplace, I'd say it's perfect and even without knowing the area I can see the beauty of the location.

Wishing you all the luck in the world!

So am I looking at the right house? (This one says .84 acres) But wow what a gorgeous area - and if you are boarding in the winter, that’s perfect. Nice that there are trails right there.
