I was at a conference a few weekends back. The first night in the hotel was great and I slept very well. The second night? The people next door were up talking super load and I didn't get to sleep until well past 3am. I would have really appreciated some sound-blocking building materials then!

Great. The world needs that.
I often say that my bad hearing ain't all bad.
I can take my hearing aid(s) out and put them away.

Terrific news! A great technology.

Will it block tinnitus?

If not, I'm not interested.

Normally ambient noise covers most of it. In absolute silence, the ringing is all I hear and it drives me batsh*t.

I doubt it. Tinnitus is inside your head.

I was being snarky.

I'll pay a lot for something that blocks the neighbor's barking dogs.

Doesn't a phone call take care of that?

Grrrr...I'd not be happy

Ok, it doesn't appear to be a material that blocks sound. It appears to be a construction of a specific shape that blocks sound transmission through a tube or opening. Significant, but not quite the same thing.

It would be interesting to see if a wall made up of this would block transmission of vibrations through the boundaries as well as the holes...
