The Methodist church in my neighborhood has *always* displayed a rainbow flag hanging prominently on the outside of the building over the entrance.

This week, they added some more to the lawn out front. A bit hard to see, but there are several large flags and a whole host of little ones:

Was raised in the UMC.
Years ago I told mom that I had not left the UMC. It rejected me.
Half the UMC was anti-gay then. Had no intention of attending half a church.
Not a church goer.
I go to AA meetings in the local Lutheran church. A sign in the foyer states they are accepting.
