Her dioramas are amazing.

She also lived in a very cool house.

Criminology is a branch of sociology. I happen to be an excellent amateur criminologist if I do say so myself. suave

A very enjoyable read about a remarkable woman and her creations.

I always enjoy seeing a well-made diorama. There are many being made these days, particularly by military modellers.

There are two particular examples of dioramas that come to mind when I think of them. One is a series of interior rooms that originally belonged to a Pittsburgh heiress, now housed behind glass along the walls of a passage between the Hall of Sculpture and the Hall of Architecture in Pittsburgh's Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Worth mentioning in that museum are also the large dioramas that house full-size wildlife specimens in natural settings.

The other dioramas that I immediately recall are a large series depicting scenes from wars that Australians fought in, ranging from the cliffs at Gallipoli to underground tunnels the Viet Cong built during the Vietnam War. These are housed in the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
