For years, a Welshman who threw away the key to his cybercurrency stash has been fighting to excavate the local landfill.

The most dangerous word in the language is "obvious"

It's basically the password to the wallet where the Bitcoin is held.

There are two keys for every wallet ... a public key, that allows people to identify the sender or recipient, and a private key, which allows the owner access to the wallet.

It's just blockchain language. You can think of it as a password. A long, complicated password.
