For Christmas I was given a mushroom culture kit. I haven’t started it yet because mushrooms like humidity, which is a rare condition in heated northeast homes in winter. But it could work with frequent misting. Oyster mushrooms sound delicious!

Oyster mushrooms are delicious.

I noticed the company your kit is from also has lion's mane mushrooms. We used to buy those up in Door County from a guy who had mushroom cultivation business; they are also very tasty. Would love to get some.

I've always thought that the bowl of an old toilet (bleached clean, of course!) stuck down in the basement would be the perfect place to grow mushrooms....dark and cool, and with the seat lid closed, it would keep the humidity levels up. Big Grin

Let us know how the mushroom growing goes!

I’ve had several mushroom growing kits on my
Amazon Christmas wish list for four years now. Haven’t gotten one yet. I think my fungiphobic family is trying to tell me something.
