I think it's fair to say that most on WTF don't like Ms. Palin. Here's a good question: What are the three biggest reasons why you don't like her as a viable politician (or person for that matter) assuming you don't like her?

She is neither smart nor articulate enough. Her speech suggests disorganized, unclear thinking.

(edited to correct a typo, which was quite funny considering the criticism I'm making! suave

Along with what has been listed previously, she's a monumental hypocrite who perverts Christianity to fit her agenda.

1 - No command whatsoever of rather important international issues. As she says in her book she's knew as much about the middle east as 'the average american'.

2 - She wants us to teach in our schools a founding myth written by ignorant pastoral tribesmen during the bronze age.

3 - She has dangerously ignorant views on energy security, a topic which she considers herself to be knowledgable.

I am not politically active on this forum so was not aware that 'we' as a group don't like Palin. Eeker

To me she is a disgrace/embarassment to women who really do know something in the political arena.

1 -- Her intelligence is all surface-level. It's not deep.

2 -- She's intellectually lazy.

3 -- She's mean-spirited.

4 -- She doesn't take responsibility for anything. The buck stops elsewhere.

All the hoopla surrounding her embodies the worst of high school politics; choice via a popularity contest. (may the prettiest win...)

1. I trust her less than any other politician
2. She's a documented liar
3. She's a quitter

In light of her enthusiastic support among a significant segment of the population, I think the opposite question is more appropriate:

What qualifications does she HAVE to be President?

Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

She does not get my support as a celebrity because I don't give a damn about celebrities other than I find them interesting as cultural phenomena.

She does not get my support as an author because I don't read self-serving books by celebrities or politicians.

She does not get my support as a political spokesperson because I find her tone and the content of her message to be arrogant, mean-spirited, divisive, destructive, dismissive and inflammatory.

She does not get my support as a candidate for any political office because she has presented few concrete and detailed positions on the issues and, of what she has indicated about her political ideology, I disagree with it.

She does not get my support as a candidate specifically for the presidency because based on her performance as a vice presidential candidate, she showed no qualifications for the Office.

However, she does get my support as a leader in the GOP because I think she is one of those GOP leaders that will continue to lead the party to defeat.

Not sure I would say it is a "significant" portion, Jack. It is a very vocal portion, but I am not sure it is significant.

she's too egocentric and megalomaniacal to be public servant.
i don't like the ME ME ME of Sarah.

I appreciate conservative thought but don't think religion and politics should mix.

i don't think her mental capacity is deep enough to lead effectively.. she's kind of like a kid who thinks he knows it all.

that said.. she is charismatic and has a wonderful face, figure and a remarkable ability to obfuscate and misrepresent.. something all politicians need apparently.

personally, honesty is very important to me and i do not appreciate public servants who distort.

LL, Didn't mean to offend. I didn't think that I presumed that everyone felt the same way about her.

I didn't mean anything personal by posing the question.
