My neighborhood in this old mill city is pretty amazing...SO many folks live in the houses they grew up in, or on the same street as 2 other cousins and Dad lives around the corner.

And age cohort. Tyler Cowen has some statistics about our reduced mobility in one of his recent books. It has declined rather markedly in the last decades.
