Our riding has been a Conservative strong hold for years but the incumbent isn’t running and the riding is in play! So our Prime Minister made a campaign stop in our sleepy little town of 6,000 this morning to support the local candidate. Trudeau was incredibly generous with his time (and his selfie game was strong as usual!)

I doubt I could get anywhere near that close to our President. Politics and candidate protection are certainly different in Canada.
