What else will this court do?

jon-nycWhat else will this court do?
What else do you think they’ll do after overruling Roe/Casey?
My predictions:
1). end affirmative action, perhaps in a sweeping way prohibiting any race based preferences such as those creeping into medicine.
2) end ‘Chevron deference’, and perhaps other restrictions of the power of the administrative state.
3) chip away at gun control measures
4) allow limited religious exceptions to LGBT inclusion (eg wedding cake guy)
Less likely but possible:
5) end birthright citizenship
What they won’t do:
1) reverse oberfell or bostock
Anyone else care to make predictions?

CHASThe line between church and state will be further erased.
A Boulder RC church was vandalized with red paint on a figurines hands, etc..
Caught myself thinking that maybe the church should stop hating.
That church and others are my enemy.

rontunerSimilar to the way that many warp the Bible to justify hatred and crimes, I believe this court's majority will continue to warp the law for evil results.

pianojugglerSomething to do with immigrants. Undocumented immigrants. Asylum-seeking immigrants.
Kill off what’s left of the Voting Rights Act.
They will uphold all of the states that are changing their election laws to allow the legislature to overturn legitimate election results that the majority of the
legislature doesn’t like. (Completely undermine democracy and establish one-party rule.)
[jon]Affirm that civil asset forfeiture is just fine.[/jon]
It’ll be hard to nullify Loving while Thomas is on the bench.

An excellent post. Thank you.
Now excuse me while I hide under the bed.

Amanda"Under God" added everywhere it used to be?
Like the "Pledge of Allegiance" (also reinstated).
Mandatory Christmas Carols for all school children, including those from non-Christian families. Ubiquitous "Merry Christmas!" expected seasonally and no exemptions from celebrating any Christian holidays regardless of ones faith or lack thereof.
My mind races to such school rules as "girls must have hair below ears, boys above"; boys wear pants, girls wear skirts (but below the knees).
Abolish the "Ms" honorific?

Inconceivable and possible, respectively.

Conceivable on the merits but no state in 2022 would pass a law putting it to the test.

Amandajon, I should have added JK (or an appropriate emoticon).
Although I am sure many Evangelicals WOULD like all those and more to be reintroduced on an obligatory basis!

Steve Miller They’ll wall themselves off from the public. This would be the same SCOTUS that ruled a 35 foot buffer zone around Planned Parenthood clinics was unconstitutional because it interfered with free speech rights.
These guys are making a big old mess.

Actually some states will outlaw IUDs and the morning after pill. But I don’t think it will be subject to a challenge under griswold since it’s just a particular method, not a ban on birth control generally.
