Wow. We just finished taxes for Mr. Nina and me, our son and our daughter.

Son owes $1100 PLUS quarterlies of about $300 per for last year, for exactly 6 months at an entry-level job. He had NO United States earnings. He owes about 10% of his Canadian earnings to the US tax coffers, on top of Canadian taxes on the same amount.

Daughter (who is a student) owes a similar amount.

Mr. Nina and I owe in the high 4 figures, PLUS quarterlies, after owing far less last year and also paying quarterlies.



Did anyone else see their taxes go way up this year?
