was that i told myself i'd learn nothing new till it's over.

well it's over and i will probably choose a Lizst/Bach organ preludefugue transcription..

C major perhaps or actually learn the A minor.

i love new pieces to learn - i might try a Rachmanonoff prelude if i can find my book.

I'm bitterly sorry to have missed the party but it's behind me now though not in the way I'd hoped, and at last I'm moving ahead with the pieces that were barely begun and neglected or delayed to polish my "party pieces" (which I may just post here one day soon.) I'm working on another Field nocturne, a couple of Liszt transcriptions, the larghetto from Chopin's first concerto, the everlasting 10/12, a Chopin prelude, and another composition by Carl Filtsch.

Joe, post your pieces! Please!

It's funny, even though I didn't attend the party, reading all the party posts has given me even greater motivation to practice and whip up the pieces I'm working on so I can record them before summer. And I imagine myself playing them for everyone at a WTF party some day(I can dream...)

I can think of nothing else except playing my piano!

There is sooooo much to learn!

"It would reduce the whole instrument to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and as they would be the sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please. Certainly no such universal power was meant to be given them. It [the Constitution] was intended to lace them up straightly within the enumerated powers and those without which, as means, these powers could not be carried into effect." --Thomas Jefferson, Opinion on a National Bank, 1791

apple, tell me about it!

I had a lesson today -- my last one until summer is over. Teacher really loaded me up with projects: an unusual four hands Traumeri (or however you spell it) that flows without a break right into his Romanze; the complete Mozart K.283 sonata in G (a revisit) and Chopin's Military Polonaise, Op. 40.

Maybe I'll have them ready for Mary Anna's soiree next year. GoneMad

I realized that when I got to the first repeat. With my small hands, some notes are gonna hafta be dropped...even with an action that's gotten a Stanwood treatment, it's just too big a piece. Skeptical
