It's going to be interesting to see how long it takes for someone to catch this, as so few visit the Soundboard... Smiler

Me, I've never had a colonoscopy, so I'm way past due.

I depaye as well but there are too many stories of people out there who could have prevented major problems if they had done this earlier.

Well the fasting is one thing, but the finale the night just before the "show" was quite a lot of work and very repetitive.

The good news is the actual procedure - I wasn't even aware I was put to sleep and then I was waking up with no ill effect what so ever.

Good luck with yours Joe! (And yes... very funny)

Tee Hee! Too funny! Pique's got it exactly right. The procedure itself - well I don't remember a thing! I didn't even get to hear him finish telling them to give me the drugs!

As for the prep - try having already taken the prep stuff and then your water goes off and you have to flush the toilets all night with water from a bucket!

I had one a couple years ago.
The preparatory cleaning out was hell.

The procedure itself was painless, and yes the drugs were nice.

I had one a couple of years ago... a much more pleasant experience than the surgery I had a year or so later to repair a torn rotator cuff. That's when I discovered I was relatively immune to Oxycontin-type painkillers. Nothing worked. I ended up eating a LOT of asprin, which actually worked quite well. My doctor was not surprised, and mentioned that until the advent of these narcotic-based painkillers, asprin was frequently prescribed for pain.
