I'm not usually a huge fan of Ashkenazy - but this is one of his best. I'll take a look at home and see if there's anyting better - but top of mind...probably not. Lugansky & Shelly have done nice recordings - but I think I preferred Ashekenazy. I know there are some other recordings in my collection - Laredo...but again, I think Ash wins.

I'm not a big fan of Ashkenazy either, but despite that he wails on this one. I'm not big on Kissin either, but I bet he would play the hell out of this set. Not sure if he recorded them. --------------------------------

I had a little bit of a playoff on the 4th (Presto). Ashkenazy and Gavrilov were my picks. Sadly, Gavrilov's is no longer available.
