I can't add him to the regular PM list ( I write his name, click and it doesn't appear as an option - no check box, nothing.

When I try to add him through the OFF KEY message board it works but his name still doesn't appear in the buddy box.

However, it DOES appear on the list of buddies for THIS forum.

What gives? Does he only want to be a ....tech buddy ...and that's all?

What th-? Now HIS name has showed up, and after adding a few, another is blocking!
