One of the best treadmill workouts you can do is to walk on them - with a 15-30% grade. That's pretty steep. In 15-20 minutes at a 15% grade and a quick walk - you'll be getting phenomenal workout.

I hope I can run real slow without planting my face on pavement with this outdoor clinic thing.

You're such an athlete Kluurs ...
Truly.

You know, I'll bet you'll wind up liking running, Katie. I too started in a running group. Not a clinic, but an outdoor fitness class. I started to like it because there was always someone to run with. This made the whole running thing less awful because we would chat. Also, I felt less vulnerable because I wasn't by myself.

Running is kinda painful at first, so don't over do it, 'kay?

And yes, Kluurs is da man!

I finally got motivated to exercise, so I came here and found out that you guys weren't doing the moving and shaking thing any more. Frowner

Anybody care to revive it? Here's my week:

Monday, April 10: A couple of hours of lifting boxes and shoving furniture around.
Tuesday, April 11: Ditto.
Wednesday: An hour of gardening.
Thursday: An hour and fifteen minutes of yoga class.
Friday: A 36-minute yoga video (with Muffin!)
Saturday: Ditto.
Sunday: 20 minutes of yoga. Also some highly competitive Easter egg hunting, including sprints whenever I needed to beat my son to a choice egg.

I like this thread. Smiler
Swimming is great - I can go once a week. Jogging and isotonic exercises. Walking and stretching is great, too. It's good if you wear a pedometer, then you don't have to think about it. Big Grin

I'm currently tanning now... although it's bad for my fair complexion... and I'm like 5 pounds thinner....- I like to jog. Flower

(Cindy - I hope it was okay to post a pic of me).

Yup. Scattered all around. Someone tried to start a photos thread, but it just got posted full of cartoons and metaphors. I guess most of us are a mite shy when we know the kluglight is on.
