I'm in. I run at least 5 days a week anyway, and go to the gym. We're also doing this at work. We have this Texas Roundup Challenge, where different businesses participate, and pledge to do a minimum of 30 minutes/day of exercise. We have a team in my department, and we've done it the previous two years also. So I have to log my time in for that anyway. Sounds fun!

Teachum - a fall on the ice? I would not suggest any significant stretching the rest of the day. You don't know how much damage you've done until the next day.

- Saturday - ran 15 miles,
- Sunday - ran 5
- Today - run 8

Are we supposed to update the thread daily, or weekly? It's going to get kind of long if each of us update it every day with our supposeddaily exercise.

Thanks for caring, Kluurs - I'm fine, just a little sore in one shoulder.

20 minutes on the tread and my yoga routine - about 30 minutes.

We're supposed to update only our first post in the thread. That way the thread itself won't get terribly long.

Me, I'm not starting until tomorrow!

Well, Kluurs did, but he started early. Overachiever that he is . . .

Hey, I wonder who will log more miles in February? SAS or Kluurs?

Not that it's a competition or anything. Heh. Heh, heh.

Okay here goes,

Feb 1 - Wallowing around in the snow dragging hoses to fill two hundred gallon tanks and then digging out a 6 or 7 foot high pile of snow and putting up a temporary barrier above the gate so the horses can't just walk out of the corral over the fence,, then dragging all the hoses back up to the house and putting them back under the house so they won't be frozen. Phew - I was exhausted and my heart was pumping after THAT!!!!

Feb 2 - Lower body intensity Yoga - about 30 minute routine.

Also .. I'm out of clean clothes. I conserve water and do laundry once a week. So my measly mileage today will be calculated while nude. Tee Hee.

Almost all of my running is outdoors - in the dark along the lakefront so I can get the maximum amount of wind in my face....

I never run on a treadmill unless I'm staying at a hotel and there is no option. My last treadmill run I had a guy start yelling at me because I was on the treadmill for 30:12. He was upset about the 12 seconds. I told him I wanted to finish 4 miles and needed those seconds. He was not pleased because they had a sign that stated a 30 minute limit. Geesh! He reported me...this may be on a permanent record somewhere.

I detest treadmills. I don't even get the concept. Running/walking outdoors is fine if the weather is 20 degrees or above, and it rarely gets that cold for long around here. Why do people want to be couped up inside, missing all the scenery and natural inclines?

I have to run on the treadmills at physical therapy. Sheer torture, that is.

Cindy -- who thinks the coolest place to run is the National Mall
