Hello every one. I am a new member here and am trying to get to know everyone. I am a freshman in my second semester of college. A fellow comrade of mine is pianolicious who directed me to this forum. I have been playing piano for about a total of 12 years. My favorite composers are (but not limited to) Godowsky, Mahler, Ligeti, and Liszt. Right now I am working on New music which includes Rzewski's North American Ballads. I am also studying a Beethoven Sonata( Pathetique) and Albeniz-Godowsky Tango. I have a link of me Playing Chopin's etude Op.25 No.12.
That's a killer etude to be playing at 18-19! I played it when I was 25 and I just about died! (then again, maybe it is also because I had just played Op. 25 No. 11 just before it ) How long have you been playing it? How do you like your teacher? Who is it?
thanks for posting this!
