Apple, Hi

What do you and mr SK eat for dinner usually. I am fascinated by people's food choices.

Usually he fixes something... mostly Japanese-influenced things, but not exactly what he made in Japan (because we can't get some important ingredients). He used to make a lot of fish dieshes, but here it's mostly chicken or beef. Not as much pork as he made in Japan, because he can't get the kind of cut he likes. He uses soy sauce, mirin... what else?? and Japanese dashi seasoning.... Erm, I don't know what else, but he's a great cook! Yes

i find you very interesting ShiroKuro and am glad you are forum member of the month.

Blush Thank you!

Well have a nice summer, Shiro. There are still a few weeks left to enjoy it before the fall semester starts up.

If you want to take a short day trip, cruise on up to Spring Green, WI.

The “House On The Rock” and “Taliesin House” are both located there. The House On The Rock consists of two sections:

1. A walk-through house tour. It’s a big house built right on top of a tall castle rock outcropping.

2. A musical collection. It's something else. Everyone knows about player pianos and how they can be automated to play music. This place is a big collection of anything and everything musical. The owner was a real collector. Automated music machines and computer controlled robots play many different musical instruments and not just pianos. The world’s largest carousel is also there.

It makes you wonder if symphony orchestras of the future will consist of computerized robots playing the instruments instead of people.

Taliesin House is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed house in Spring Green. Take a tour of it if architecture interests you.

Has Mr. SK found any "American" food that he really likes?

Is he partial to any American "fast food?"

How about you, is there some food from your earlier life with which you are now indulging?

Omg, I feel sooooo bad. I completely missed this thread. SK, I'm going to read through it, and I hope that if I have a question, you'll still oblige me. Smiler Thanks, QL for passing the baton so efficiently and also for your great pick.

On an unrelated note, do you and Mr SK have plans to travel around the US in the near future?

Wow, that's exciting Doug.

Shiro, I vote that we keep this thread going a bit in case the summer lull is over and a few more people (like me) who missed it might see it. It's much too short, and I there are plenty things we still don't know about you. Wink Has your husband made any cool new computer generated photos of you at the piano?

Hi Kathy!

No new "doctored" photos from Mr SK, but he has been doing a lot of computer-drawing lately. Is that what it's even called? He uses a table and pen-thingy, draws free-hand and ends up with these amazing pieces thta look from a distance almost like photos. We're trying to figure out if he can sell them some how, so for now they're not on "public" display. If we were only a little more ambitious or business-minded!

I think I know what the "thingy" is you're talking about. Son, James had one. It's hard for me to imagine, however, doing photo-like drawing with one. Sounds really neat.
