About the XBox - Mary Anna you are welcome to bring it, but I must warn you that our den, while comfortable for the two of us for tv viewing, may be a squeeze for three (or more cuz I think CathyS will bring her two boys) kids. I'm serious. The den is a tiny 7.5' x 12' and crammed in there already is a loveseat, a 42" flatscreen tv and Improv's computer, desk and chair.

My stepdaughter has said she would take the kids ice skating if there was interest.

ha.. you'd be surprised how many kids you can squeeze into a bit of 5X5 floor space.

Xbox' are sooo good at entertaining kids you might consider moving a tv in the basement or something to keep them quietly occupied.

We don't have a basement. At 2400 sq ft, my house isn't that spacious compared to what's being built nowdays. I do have one bedroom converted into an office. Maybe we could set something up in that room if need be.

At any rate, Improv and I are planning to stop at your place on our road trip, provided it's workable on your end. Deb says she wants to come by and see us while we are there.

Just curious, how and when are you going down there? I was just noticing jetblue has really cheap flights.

I just got a round trip flight for $184, total.


You couldn't drive it for that with all of Kenny's hypermiling skills.

I just made Amtrak reservations today, $220 round trip! Hm! The truth is I much prefer the train--good reading, listening and time to take in the views. The Amtrak station is also quite close to the Inn where I'll be staying so it won't cost much for a taxi--I might even be able to walk it.

I'm leaving on Friday -- arriving in the late afternoon and I'm departing Sunday on a 5:30pm train.
