Yes and no.

No "dates" per se at all. And that's entirely due to lack of effort. I have one friend who calls me three times a week to push me.

However, my season tickets to the theater still exist, so I've been taking the Quirtlets. And I must say, they are terrific company. We've seen In the Heights, Fiddler on the Roof, Dreamgirls, and The Lion King.

And I have a female friend (just a friend) who is in a similar situation, and we go to movies and restaurants.

Sounds promising...especially now that you are old mature enough to know there is more to love than that initial rush of lust.

Aren't you glad you were picked for this?

Leaving. I am LEAVING.

She's very nice. And we would not be a good match, or a successful relationship. I am indeed old enough to see a train wreck before it happens, and to get the heck out of the way. Put another way, I'd rather have a friend I can talk to than an ex-girlfriend that I cannot.

Ah...this is where age is at the best advantage..you know what you want and what you don't want.... ThumbsUp Cool...and yet you still leave room for this family so your girls can have their friends with them... Smiler

But I have to say I was picking up 'flirt with Quirt' vibes..I could be wrong..I haven't dated in more than 20 years.. Razzer

How's the man cave? Do you work there everyday? Have the dogs worked out OK up there?

How's the spa (hot tub)? Is that a regular feature still or does it grow old?

I think your instincts are still sharp. Not that I had any doubts (about your instincts).

Yes, the man cave has actually become the main room in the house. The Quirtlets have their computers up here too, and we can all fit comfortably up here ... me, the Quirtlets, the two dogs, and the big screen television.

And it's great exercise, climbing those two sets of stairs every time I want a cup of coffee. Smiler

It's still a regular feature. I use it more than the girls do, though.

I expect it'll be a three-season thing. I doubt I'll have much interest in it when the weather is too warm.

I forgot about the hot tub.

Maybe I'll come down for a date. A huntin and fishin kind of date, mind you....

Do you specialize in practicing one aspect of law? If so, which one?

Years ago, there was a TV show called "L.A. Law". It was one of my favorites. This L.A. law firm had lawyers practicing in many different areas such as tax, corporate, and criminal law. How realistic was this show? Do law firms generally specialize in one aspect of the law or are they more diversified?

My specialty is securities law. But really, I'm a general counsel. That means I have to supervise ALL areas of law for a company. (Typically, that means that I supervise other lawyers.) In other words, I'm a jack of all trades. I do a lot of contracts, some securities law, some intellectual property, some employment law ... it's a mixed bag.

Most firms of any size have different specialists in different areas. If they are small, they might do just litigation, or just family law ... but, if they're in double digits, they typically have a broader practice.

It's a big hot tub, big enough so that you can have your side, and I can have mine, in a hunting and fishing kind of way.

Don't really have a question, just wanted to say the more I get to know you, the more I like you.
