Wonderful evening. I forgot how expensive mid-town was, don't spend too much time around there! But FUN.

I don't need to say the company was great but I'll say it anyway!

Bernard - everything you say is true. Let me add, I thought the performance was magnificent - totally amazing - gave me chills in some parts, too!

It was good to meet those who I had the pleasure of meeting... I find it's always nice to meet those you correspondence with...

This performance has been in the works a long, long time and it's just so sad how fast the time flys - and now it's a memory - but a good memory.

I apologize for cuting out right after the performance (Jim, Bernard, you were the only two I said my goodbyes to...). I'm sure you guys rocked the town after the show. It would have been nice to meet Elena and Laura in person, too. Shake hands with such talent... It makes me sad I didn't wait... but I couldn't.

I hope you all have a great rest of vacation - do it up - you're in the Big Apple - soooo much to see (albiet, I agree with Bernard, it is a bit expensive *wink*).

Enjoy! Peace, (and safe travels).

Well, there's someone we haven't heard from in a million years.

I hope everything is going well, Sharon.

Elena,

You and Laura are such a strong talent. It amazed me how the music flowed - you made it seem so easy, so effortless. I was captivated at your movements... your forms... so fluid and elegant - breathing life into all those notes.

So many beautiful notes....

Thank you for the lovely experience of seeing and hearing you - and feeling the love of the music pouring out all over....

Peace,
~Sharon Flower

Hi Quirt.
It was a beautiful recital, Quirt. I am sure you will see many photos and hear many stories... Wish you could have been there.

I can't believe I missed this for KNEE SURGERY! Dang! Seriously, I'm glad y'all are having a good time.

I can't believe I missed this to be post-op nurse for Mr. AdagioM! I just told him that all this is going on, and he said, "you could have gone!" yeah, right.

It sounds like a wonderful time, and I'm glad you are all getting to know each other as real-time peeps. Have fun this afternoon!

And I can't belive I missed it to hold a solo Sleep In at Dulles. I thought those when out in the 60's. All I can say is there'd better be a next time. Love, Joe

Well I can't believe I missed Elena's & Jon's so I could see hubby ride in the "Tour de Courage" avec Lance & Eddy Merckx. Frowner Frowner But Katie's gotta be a supportive wifey, eh. Roll Eyes Hubby best not bonk during that event.

The concert sounds lovely. Hope y'all are having fun now Smiler

Is Eddy Merckx still alive???

(How about Bernard Thevenet?)

(When I was a kid, I had posters of Bernard Thevenet on my bedroom walls.)

I think Merckx is still alive...read an article about his bike company, and what a great, easygoing guy he is (in his post-Cannibal years!)

(Note to non-cyclists: "The Cannibal" was his nickname in his TdF-winning years.)

Yes he is! He's a big fan of Lance Armstrong and came to Austin not too long ago for one of the Ride for the Roses shindigs. He was scheduled to testify at Floyd Landis's doping hearing, but didn't make it for whatever reason.

He's supposed to have dropped a bunch of weight recently to ride in one of those pre-Tour rides they put on for tourists.
