I never knew him because I came late to the party, but I hope you shared my OOBE story with him.

And apple too -- so sorry.

You go into the light when you pass. I know it sounds kooky, but I've seen it.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. There are no other words to say although I wish I had a few tucked away.

I have watched and read from the sidelines and have always been amazed at the glorious joie de vivre that Wacki always had, even in the midst of the worst circumstances. I know that I for one will feel the echo of his own special voice throughout my own life.

Wacki....go in peace and joy.

That was when he was in remission for a few years. Pretty scary how things can change so quickly.

i was reading a profile of one of the passengers who flew on the plane that recently crashed into the hudson river.

his wife and family say the experience changed him. he now says his message is: look at what you have!

i felt like that was also the essence of the messages i got from wacki.

that plane crash survivor now calls his wife several times a day to tell her he loves her. she says he never did that before.

it's easy to look at what is wrong with our lives, and then when it's taken away, you might gasp at what you didn't appreciate when you had it.

the best thing we can take from such an untimely death as rick's, i think, is to make this yet another reminder to love others well and take joy in the present.

You are right, piqué. I got that sense from Wacky too. The impending urgency to do and say what needs to be now, not later.

Dear S,

I haven't been here much lately, simply because I am busy away from the computer of late. I came today because of this thread.

W.I. (Richard) will be missed. Thank you for sharing a very cool and special part of him here.

I am so sorry for your loss.
